How's your Christmas shopping going? Or whatever holiday you shop for? Hopefully well! I'm almost done. My son is done. My nieces are done!My Uncle, who I usually don't buy for, is done! Now I just have to wait for more money, and the rest are Gift Cards! Amazon.com Gift Cards - In a Greeting Card - Free One-Day Shipping. Why, you ask? Because these are people in my family I have NO IDEA what to get them, nor do they 'need or want' anything that "I" can choose for them! No! I can't even pick out a 'BOOK' for them! My father, his fiance', (whom I've NEVER met! That's another story for another day!) My own daughter! Yes! Her and my tastes are SO different, that no matter 'what' I were to pick out for her, would definitely be returned with one of those Gift Receipts, so why even bother? That's leave it at that! Except for a few 'thank you's', (our maintenance men, and a few others), that's ALL we shop for! My and my husband's family is VERY small! Luckily, we don't have to do a lot of shopping! Or, at least shopping with our fingertips! Helpful for me with this disability! Yes, you are right! Not many 'family obligations' for us, except this coming up year when my father gets married. HOW STRANGE!! I almost feel as if he is doing my mother a disservice, but he does deserve to go on with his life. Doesn't mean I have to be happy about it. When I think of my father, I think of my Mom. Yes, I'm well into my 40's, but it's still the same as if I were a kid. I'm a little protective of my Dad, yet then again, does he really care? No, so . . . let it be! Whatever floats his boat! (He's having a wedding comparable to a 20 year-old's! YES! HUGE! That, I cannot wrap my head around! Oh well, MY problem.)
So how are YOU set for Christmas? Onto the books! May I add I am QUITE HAPPY that the 50 Shades trilogy has DROPPED! YES! Now we can finally have some authors who DESERVE to be back ON THE CHARTS! Goodbye, erotica, for now! Well, there IS erotica on the list, but it's more at the BOTTOM of the list! I am HOPING that America has finally gotten enough erotica OUT of them to move on to enjoy EXCELLENT writing! Plus, the price of ebooks have remained steady! I'm SO happy! Perhaps they have noticed they sell many MORE ebooks by keeping the price LOWER rather than higher? They should! One question: What is it with ebooks costing MORE than the print books? That's a topic for another day, I guess! Okay, here we go!
