Shot through with the crackling dialogue, irresistible characters, and propulsive narrative drive that make Lutz's books so beloved, How to Start a Fire pulls us deep into Anna, Kate, and George's complicated bond and pays homage to the abiding, irrational love we share with the family we choose.

I SO enjoyed this extraordinary book in a non-stop, read it overnight, absolutely loved this book so I am giving it 5-STARS, EASILY! This is my first Lisa Lutz book, and it blew me away! I LOVED IT!!! If you like Women's Fiction, Chick-Lit or Literature/Fiction, you're going to LOVE this book!
This book takes us on a wonderful, fictional ride of three memorable women's lives who begin their friendship in college, and it continues well into their adulthood. I thoroughly LOVED several of the scenes especially in the beginning (and the rest of the book, as well) but especially when Anna, Kate and George all meet, and this is just the beginning of their friendship together! In some of the scenes I was laughing SO hard! Don't get me wrong, this book is not a slap-stick comedy, quite the opposite, but this author sure knows how to use humor well!
You definitely do NOT want to miss this book! It is well worth your time to lose yourself into another world getting lost in-between the pages of this book!
I would like to thank Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and NetGalley for the pure pleasure of being able to review this title for them!
