Hey Laurie, just wanted to say how much I appreciate that you've got this set up to show if it's already been filled out. My memory's poor on a good day, and this is not a good day. I hate filling something out multiple times - it makes me feel like people think I'm trying to cheat, when I really just can't remember. I don't even do the 'follow this blog' type entries daily now, because I can't remember. Kinda ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at the page you link to on Stiff Person Syndrome and wanted to ask you a question. Hopefully it's not offensive - I just don't know much about the condition and am trying to get a better idea. I guess I probably get a tiny bit of it, since it can be misdiagnosed as fibro (yay fibro, source of my memory problems). As I was reading the info, those fainting goats came to mind. Is that kind of like what Stiff Person Syndrome is? The being startled and reacting more strongly than people would expect, with a risk of falling? That seems horrible :( I'm glad you have this in your life. I'm dealing with disability as well, and the one thing I can still do (albeit more slowly than I used to) any day is read. It's a way to make up for not getting out into the world. I explore fictional worlds instead :) (And again, I'm sorry if mentioning the goats is offensive. I really don't mean it that way - would just like to understand more. I'm probably over apologizing, but I had a really rude overreaction to an email from an author earlier, and I'd rather not upset someone else today, too)
