There are 2 excellent movies on Sunday evening/TONIGHT on Lifetime! One starts at 7:00pm EST and is called Women of the Bible (I don't know if this is based on a book or not) however, if any of you have read the bestseller The Red Tent by Anita Diamant, it has been made into a movie, too, and it starts at 9:00pm and runs for 2 nights! The second part is on on Monday night at 9:00pm EST on LIFETIME, still! I LOVED this book, so be sure to watch both of these!

      1. Hi Cynthia!
Oh, great!! I'm glad you're excited for the Christmas book reviews because it seems like that is ALL I've been reviewing and I was starting to wonder if anyone was getting tired of them! Thankfully you are not! Awesome! If I can be of help and suggest one GREAT book, that would be one I've already reviewed and mentioned in this post, and the link is up above for the book Quilted by Christmas (A Quilts of Love series) by Jodie Bailey! I loved that one! ANY of the Quilts of Love Christmas books are exceptional reads! The ones I've been reading lately are Regency Romance and 19th Century stories, and to be honest, not my favorite. I'm sorry about that. MORE book recommendations I have for you are: A Christmas Gift for Rose by Tricia Goyer (an Amish book), my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is a NEW RELEASE THIS YEAR! It is called "Mr. Miracle" by Debbie Macomber! (She is known for all her Mrs. Miracle stories!) Here is that link for my review! http://www.lauriehere.com/2014/10/review-mr-miracle-christmas-novel-by.html
Oh! The Hallmark Channel made it into a movie and it was on earlier tonight, and it DID follow the book to a "T"! It was GREAT!!! I LOVED it!!! That is this season's FIRST CHOICE from me!!! Oh! It was HILARIOUS but serious, too, because he does have a mission to complete! It is about a MALE angel who comes to earth for the first time, and he sees and feels things humans do but he gets scared and feels funny about them (you know men! LOL!) and goes to his Host Angel, Celeste, who is a Barista, and she guides him along the way! If you can read that book and catch the movie, it'll make your season! Debbie Macomber is KNOWN for her EXCELLENCE in writing, especially Christmas stories! I would not hesitate to pick up ONE of her books for a wonderful holiday read! They ALL REALLY puts you in the spirit! "Christmas at Harrington's" by Melody Carlson (no relation!) is wonderful! I am going to start "How the In-Laws Wrecked Christmas" by Fiona Gibson! Sounds hilarious! Light and FUN for the season, AND, they are NOT 'my' in-laws! LOL!!! If you would like MORE recommendations, please email me at laurieisreading at gmail dot com! I'd be MORE than happy to help!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
        Laurie
