#NEW #REVIEW/#NEW #RELEASE! Today, June 7th! "Liar Liar, Helen Grace #4" by MJ Arlidge

Description:
Detective Helen Grace gets caught in an inferno of death and destruction in the red-hot new thriller from the author of Eeny Meeny, Pop Goes the Weasel, and The Doll’s House

Detective Helen Grace has never seen such destruction. Six fires in twenty-four hours. Two people dead. Several more injured. It’s as if someone wants to burn the city to the ground...
With the whole town on high alert, Helen and her team must sift through the rubble to find the arsonist, someone whose thirst for fire—and control—is reducing entire lives to ashes.

One misstep could mean Helen’s career—and more lives lost. And as the pressure mounts and more buildings burn, Helen’s own dark impulses threaten to consume her…

MY TAKE:
5 STARS!!

I never would have guessed who the Arsonist was in this book! WOW! This author kept us guessing until the VERY end of this book! This end of this book had so many twists and turns, and it was long, probably a hundred pages or just shy of it! I think it was one of the most exciting novels in this series yet! Yes, this is another outstanding thriller written by the Master of thrillers, M J Arlidge! It’s as if it’s nothing for this author to pen these books they read so easily and keep us so glued to the pages! This is one author who definitely knows how to keep us on the edge of our seats, and I keep coming back for MORE! I’ve read the whole series so far, a total of four books with MORE coming! The next book is called Little Boy Blue. Hmmm? Interesting title! I wonder if the next serial killer will strangle their victim? I don’t know? Whatever it is they will do, DI Grace WILL get them, just as in all her books so far!
This book is about arson, fires being lit around London, and one night there were six fires set in one night all around London. A fire usually does not leave much evidence to go by as it’s burned like everything, but there is enough that DI Grace is successful in finding small bits of clues here and there, however, there was not a way for us to be able to pick up on who set these because it was such a surprise to find out in the end! These fires were very hard on Helen and her team, finding evidence or even trying to figure out a motive, too, and the fact that there were so many fires and so fast, one after another after another it didn't seem like there was enough time for them to spend on trying to find the arsonist. The fires never seemed to make sense as to who or where they were lit or for what reason. None of the fires seemed to duplicate any of the others.
With a new boss for Helen this time, she had her work cut out for her. I like these books in that they really make Helen’s character feel like a real person whom we can relate to. She had a lot to deal with this time around. We also get to learn more about single Mom, Charlie, and this leaves us dying to get into the next book!

I
f you just like thrillers, pick one of these books up and then you’ll “LOVE” thrillers after just ONE of these DI Helen Grace books, especially with this particular author writing them! He’s pretty amazing!
I received this book for FREE from the Publisher, Berkley Publishing Group, (and I thank them very much!) and NetGalley in exchange that I read then write a review about this book/what I read. "Free" means I was provided with ZERO MONIES to do so, but to just enjoy the sheer pleasure of reading this book and then writing an honest review about what I thought about this book, regardless if my opinion is positive or negative.
