#REVIEW - "Bones Never Lie" by Kathy Reichs

Description

The evidence is irrefutable: In sixteen New York Times bestsellers over the course of as many years, Kathy Reichs has proven herself “a genius at building suspense” (New York Daily News). In forensic anthropologist Temperance Brennan, Reichs has created a detective fiction heroine who’s brilliant to the bone. “Every minute in the morgue with Tempe is golden,” says The New York Times Book Review. In the acclaimed author’s thrilling new novel, Brennan is at the top of her game in a battle of wits against the most monstrous adversary she has ever encountered.
Unexpectedly called in to the Charlotte PD’s Cold Case Unit, Dr. Temperance Brennan wonders why she’s been asked to meet with a homicide cop who’s a long way from his own jurisdiction. The shocking answer: Two child murders, separated by thousands of miles, have one thing in common—the killer. Years ago, Anique Pomerleau kidnapped and murdered a string of girls in Canada, then narrowly eluded capture. It was a devastating defeat for her pursuers, Brennan and police detective Andrew Ryan. Now, as if summoned from their nightmares, Pomerleau has resurfaced in the United States, linked to victims in Vermont and North Carolina. When another child is snatched, the reign of terror promises to continue—unless Brennan can rise to the challenge and make good on her second chance to stop a psychopath.

But Brennan will have to draw her bitter ex-partner out of exile, keep the local police and feds from one another’s throats, and face more than just her own demons as she stalks the deadliest of predators into the darkest depths of madness.

In Bones Never Lie, Kathy Reichs never fails to satisfy readers looking for psychological suspense that’s more than skin-deep.

“Tempe Brennan is the lab lady most likely to dethrone Patricia Cornwell’s Kay Scarpetta.”—USA Today
“Reichs always delivers a pulse-pounding story.”—Publishers Weekly

My Take:
5 Stars!
This books was AMAZING! The writing was amazing, and the story was amazing! Reichs proves what an excellent writer she is with every book that comes out, and this book makes number SEVENTEEN with Temperance Brennan! (There can never be too many books with Tempe in them as far as I'm concerned! I never get tired of reading about her and most of the time, Ryan's investigations!) This book FAR exceeded even Reichs’ earlier books, in my opinion, too. In this book her writing has a little of a lighter side to it and even some humor, which I LOVED! There was a lot more discussion between the characters in this book which I enjoyed very much.
One of my favorite parts was a mention that Tempe was going to watch a rerun of Bones! The BEST part is her cat is crazy about Hodgins! I LOVE it! That completely caught me off guard and was GREAT! This is why I say up above that the book is lighter. (Can you tell Bones is my #1 favorite show?! Yes, it is, and I’m watching it right now as I’m writing this! Did you know Reichs writes the screenplays for the TV show, and she  produces them, too! She is amazing! Yes, I know I keep using that word, but that is how I feel about this book and Reichs in general!) For those of you who love this show, you’ll find you love this reference, too! What I would give to get to interview this author! What a dream!
Well, the description about this book is spot-on, and I don’t want to get to much more into describing the details of this book because of it, as I am afraid I would end up giving you too much more information and I don’t want to spoil the book for you, but I want to make mention serial killer Pomerleau resurfaces in this book and Ryan is back in this book, too, of course! He holds a very significant role in it. You’ll be shocked! I loved that he’s back, and he has something really important to share with Reichs that will just SHOCK you! Completely shock you, so much so, you MUST read 'this' particular book to find out!
I know you’ll love this book as much as I did. I HIGHLY suggest reading this book! It’s the perfect serial killer psychological thriller you have been waiting for as the next book from Reichs! Too bad we can't have more and more often! I received this book for FREE from the Publisher, Random House Bantam Dell, and NetGalley, in exchange to read and write a review about it. "Free" means I was provided with ZERO MONIES to do so, but to enjoy the pure pleasure of reading it and giving my own honest opinion no matter whether it is positive or negative. 1. I am glad you were able to enjoy this book so much! I think every mystery can be exciting, but sometimes series can drag out for too long and get boring. But for this series it looks like that isn't the case!
