Weekly #Blog #Update + The #NYTimes Top 15 (25) Best Sellers for the week ending 5-18-14

Welcome to another week of GREAT books! This is posted every Sunday by NOON! I hope you had a great week of reading! I sure did! I also wrote LOTS of reviews, too, which I'll share with you! We also have LOTS of #Giveaways going on still! Then, of course the Best Sellers! Let's get started!

BLOG UPDATES FIRST!

REVIEWS:

*Typhon Mary, An Urban Historical by Anthony Bourbain - (which now that I realize, thanks to my husband, exactly who Anthony Bourdain is, I am going to rewrite my review! We watch him ALL the time! When I wrote in my review that the book was a little slow and maybe a little repetitive, that's Anthony Bourdain! It's his cadence, the way he talks. Each person he talks to, he'll ask the same questions again to get down to the nitty-gritty, thus, some parts of the book show this. Another thing is in some of the reviews, people compare this book to his other two books he wrote which you cannot compare. This book is history, the other books are not. This topic is night and day compared to those. Anthony himself is a Chef, and is in kitchens around the world. You'll have to come back to reread the review again, when I re-write it.)

*Buzz Book Spring/Summer 2014, Buzz Book Fall/Winter 2014 for Young Adult and an Adult version, too! 2 Editions available now! Cost: FREE!  Spring/Summer book has now expired, but, now the Fall/Winter version is HER! Released on May 8th, this is the BEA for us, here at home for those of us who could not go to the BEA! YES! Not only that, but many of you are into YA -YES, this . . .
COMES IN A YOUNG ADULT VERSION and is a FREE EBOOK I know many of you like YA, so I want to make sure you know this!
OR, GRAB THE "ADULT" VERSION which is ALSO FREE! This is the version I enjoy! Both ways it's a WIN/WIN! If you click on the link above, it will take you to the review and you can click on the book and be taken to either of the books, or both!
If you are a blogger and have your Profile ready, you ARE ABLE to request books right from your e-readers from NetGalley! I can tell you the publishers have been WONDERFUL as the turn-around time is EXCELLENT! I've gotten every book I've requested so far, so, get ready! I have found MANY wonderful books I requested, was approved, and will be reading! Only thing is the soonest any of these that are coming out isn't until October. That's okay, I found a LOT of great books on my own for the late Spring and the SUMMER version! There are a LOT of new releases coming in May/June/July! Actually, I have been writing reviews like crazy!

*Adoring Addie by Leslie Gould - Amish story based on Romeo and Juliet

*In the Mirror by Kaira Rouda - I LOVED this author's writing style! The way she has her characters connect with you, the reader, is INCREDIBLE! This is a very poignant story, yet inspiring at the same time. The question this story asks is, "What would you do if you knew you were dying?"

What are you reading right now? I'd LOVE to get the Comments flowing here! Please leave a comment!
I am reading Astonish Me by Maggie Shipstead. It just released on May 1st and it's ALL about the Ballet! I love the ballet! I danced it for 13 years when I was little and into my teenage years. LOVED it! The discipline it forces upon you to do it rolls over into other areas of your life, too. Unfortunately, I don't have that petite dancer's body. God decided to give me things that dancers don't have, you know! I was bummed! I truly thought I would end up in France in a ballet company, but when that dream had to realistically expire, I was quite depresses about it. So it was on to bigger and better things for myself.

Okay! Let's hit the books!
