Due to MY rare disease, I forgot to post this! I am still going to post this to help bring awareness!
You may have seen the above graphic in my LEFT column which has been there forever! I'm trying to bring awareness to ALL Rare Diseases, and of course, mine.
What is a rare disease? A disease very FEW people get worldwide (for instance, I have Stiff Person Syndrome and only 1 in 1 million people get it) and these may not have much treatment available, either, as these are very under-researched.
What we can do to help bring more funds for research for these rare diseases is to donate monies for research. If you would like to, please go to RareDiseaseDay.org and for more information.
Let's hope the world can become a less painful place with these orphan (run-away) diseases and bring relief to their sufferers!
Rare Disease Day is EVERY February 28th, except on Leap Year, then it is on Feb 29th!
