Deadly Reunion by Amy Manemann - Review

Review - Deadly Reunion by Amy Manneman
4 stars!
I guess I was a little disappointed in this book in that I thought it would be more about Taci Andrews' Fifteen Year High School Class Reunion than what it was.  All the characters talked about the reunion and it's leading up to it throughout the book, but it took until the Epilogue of the book for the reunion to actually occur, and it was quite short, thus lacking. I guess my expectations were what was to occur at the reunion. Perhaps the title of the book is a little misleading? Or, perhaps the reunion should have taken place first and the rest of the story's events could have played out from the events at the reunion?
I really liked the character, Taci Andrews. She is an Investigative Reporter for the Riverdale Times, and gets her hands full with several stories she starts investigating. She was a lot of fun, very witty, spicy, and humorous. She did a great job in her profession as she had three mysterious cases going on all at the same time and they were not simple ones at that. Even her life gets threatened at one point. These cases also involved fellow classmates. We also have a little flirting with a helpful former 'hot' classmate, now 'hot' Fireman. Add a little more mystery through all of this, and it helped to make up for my disappointment about the actual reunion never seeming to occur.
I really do like Amy Manneman's style of writing. It kept me reading and wanting to know what was going to happen next. It was definitely full of action and did not lull at all, which makes me give this book a 4 star rating for sure!
At the end of the book she gives us Chapter One of her next book in the Taci Andrews series called Deadly Science. Now this chapter sucked me right in right away! This book sounds VERY promising, indeed. I will definitely be reading this next book for sure!

I received this book for FREE from the author, Amy Manneman, in exchange to read the book and write a review about it.  It is NOT required for the review to be either positive or negative, but, of my own opinion. I was provided with NO MONIES to read and write a review for this book, except for the pure enjoyment of reading it.
