The 2011 E-book Challenge was hosted by The Ladybug Reads. She has decided not to host it for 2012, and I was the lucky lottery winner who gets to host it. That's right, there was so much interest from people wanting to host it that she had to hold a lottery.
Challenge Guidelines:

1. This challenge will run from Jan 1, 2012 - Dec 31, 2012.
2. Anyone can join, you don't need to be a blogger. If you don't have a blog, feel free to sign-up in the comments. You can post reviews to any book site (i.e. Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Smashwords, Goodreads, etc).
3. Any genre or length of book counts, as long as it is in ebook format.
4. You can list your books in advance or just put them in a wrap-up post. If you list them, feel free to change them as the mood takes you.
5. When you sign up in the linky, put the direct link to your post about joining the E-Book Reading Challenge.
6. You can move up levels, but no moving down.
7. Sign-ups will be open until Dec 15, 2012, so feel free to join at any time throughout the year.  (Meaning:  You have ALL YEAR, 2012, to sign up to participate!

Levels:

1. Floppy disk - 5 ebooks
2. CD - 10 ebooks
3. DVD - 25 ebooks
4. Memory stick - 50 ebooks
5. Hard drive - 75 ebooks
6. Server - 100 ebooks
7. Human brain - 150 ebooks

PRIZES!!!:  At the beginning of each month there will be a roundup post for you to add your reviews for that month. If you forget, feel free to add your reviews in the following month. Any reviews submitted will be entered into the draw for that month.

***Yes, there will be draws every month for participants. As long as you are signed up below, every review you add to the monthly roundups will get one entry into the giveaway for that month.

There will also be a grand giveaway at the end of the year for eveyone who achieves their goal level (or  higher). There may be different prizes for different levels, but that is not decided yet. If you are an author and want to contribute to the monthly or grand prizes, please contact me.

Is this a LOT for me? I don't know!  I don't think so because a LOT of the books I get to review are Kindle books, so I think I will be okay!  Besides, if I go somewhere, I take my Kindle WITH ME!  I can't drive, so I'm always a passenger.  My husband drives SO nicely and smoothly, I CAN READ WHILE HE'S DRIVING!  Most of the places I go are long distances to doctor appointments for my neurological muscular disease, so I think I will be fine choosing that number.  I did check Goodreads, (my Goodreads name is:  lauriehere if you are interested!)

I LOVE to read before I go to bed!!!  When the house is quiet, and there is no noise from outside!  I love it!

I LOVE http://www.spiritfilledkindle.com !!!  I get a LOT of FREE fiction books from there!

I LOVE NetGalley!

I LOVE Booksneeze!

I LOVE that Amazon has FREE books for our Kindles!  If not FREE, then they have sales for 99 cent ebooks as well!  These are MORE than just the classics, too!  You might be thinking, "Oh, 99 cent ebooks can't be any good?"  Let me tell you they are AWESOME!!  A LOT of Indie Authors use this to get their books and names out there!  It is an amazing tool for them to use!  I take advantage of it as often as I see a sale!  Also, when there is a very well known author out there who has a new release coming out, a lot of times they will put one of their earlier books out there for free to get us HOOKED on their writing!  This is done intentionally!  They want us hooked on their writing so we buy their books!  I do!  I end up buying their books quite a bit of the time!

I do REALLY enjoy READING BOOKS!  I think I WILL make it!!

I still LOVE to read the real, physical books as well!  It's a 50/50 for me!  

I still LOVE to get the real, physical books so I have books to give away in the Blog Hops, too!    You DO miss the feel, the smell, and just 'the book' in general a lot!  

I guess I take what I can get to read!  I'm not to picky!  Reading 'for me' is a wonderful escape!  I LOVE it!!!    

Remember:  The directions DO state we CAN increase the number, we CANNOT DECREASE the number of ebooks for this challenge!  "IF" I do get close to, or OVER 50 ebooks, I WILL increase the number of ebooks for my Challenge to the 75!  I will keep you updated!  YOU CAN CALL ME ON IT!!!  LOL!!!

How can you NOT "LOVE" to read?  It's AWESOME!!
